KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia closed marginally lower at midday dragged by declines in property and Reit heavyweights.
At 12.30pm, FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI dropped 0.08 per cent or 1.27 points to 1,644.41 versus Monday's close of 1,645.68.
The benchmark index moved between 1,642.35 and 1,648.31 in first half of trading session today.
Decliners led gainers in the broader market 475 to 334 while 476 counters were unchanged.
On the index board, FBM100 added 0.02 per cent to 12,073.31 while FBM Emas and FBM ACE both tumbled 0.01 per cent and 0.12 per cent respectively to 12,367.26 and 5,102.97.
HeiTech Padu Bhd was among the top losers after shedding 24 sen to RM3.88.
Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd lost 52 sen to RM30.40 while Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd was down 26 sen to RM31.02.
Gainers included Nestle (M) Bhd which gained 50 sen to RM102.80. United Plantations Bhd added 26 sen to RM26.26 and Hong Leong Financial Group Bhd rose 24 sen to RM19.16.
