KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Aviation Group (MAG) has joined the CEO Action Network (CAN), a coalition of over 70 business leaders dedicated to promoting sustainability and ESG-driven initiatives with a focus on enhancing diversity and sustainability in business practices.
MAG will focus on the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) workstream, collaborating with various stakeholders, including supply chain partners, regulators, and government bodies, to raise awareness of DEI principles and strengthen related policies.
The group's involvement in the DEI workstream aligns with its commitment to the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) 25by2025 initiative aimed at increasing women's representation in the aviation sector.
MAG group managing director Datuk Captain Izham Ismail said, "We are pleased to be making great progress in this aspect, having exceeded our target with 35 percent overall participation of women in our workforce to date, with 50 percent in senior management positions."
The group is also committed to achieving advanced maturity in three areas—governance, environment, and people—by 2030, which reinforces its dedication to the Group's broader sustainability mission, including decarbonisation and creating socio-economic impact
