Binastra wins RM67.7mil sewage contract, pushing outstanding jobs to RM3.5bil

KUALA LUMPUR: Binastra Corporation Bhd's unit Binastra Builders Sdn Bhd has secured a RM67.6 million contract to redevelop a sewage treatment plant in Taman Bukit Cheras here.

Binastra, in a statement, said the contract awarded by F3 Cheras Development Sdn Bhd involved a comprehensive scope of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) works. 

It is expected to be completed within 36 months from the date of possession of site, which will be advised by F3 Cheras Development.

Managing director Datuk Jackson Tan Kak Seng said the new contract follows the company's last treatment plant project announced in August.

"Moving forward, we aim to secure more ESG-related contracts to contribute to the improvement of living standards in our communities," he added.

With the latest contract, Binastra has secured RM2.8 billion of new contracts for the financial year ending January 2025, boosting its total outstanding order book to RM3.5 billion.

Binastra's share price closed at RM1.59 today, up 6.0 per cent or nine sen, valuing the company at RM1.7 billion.
