Bitcoin rose above US$106,000, at another all-time high today, after President-elect Donald Trump suggested creating a U.S. Bitcoin reserve like the oil reserve.
On Luno, Bitcoin traded at RM466,899, with Ethereum at RM17,758 and Solana surpassing the RM1,000 mark.
On the local stock market, the FBM KLCI was trending lower after opening flat as investors awaited the US Federal Reserve's interest rate action.
The U.S. Federal Reserve will release its next policy decision on December 18, and an interest rate cut of 25 basis points is widely expected.
The index will likely fluctuate within the 1,605, to 1,615 points range.
