KUALA LUMPUR: SD Guthrie Bhd (SD Guthrie), together with Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) and Negeri Sembilan Corporation (NS Corp), have unveiled plans to jointly develop a 471.8-hectare industrial park in Bukit Pelandok, Negeri Sembilan.
In a statement today, SD Guthrie said that situated within the Malaysian Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0) economic corridor, the project carries a gross development value (GDV) of RM2.95 billion.
It said the industrial park, set for completion over an eight-year development period, will feature industrial lots, ready-built factories, and commercial properties designed to cater to high-growth industries such as aerospace, electrical and electronics, logistics, and biotechnology.
"Its proximity to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), major highways, and seaports offers significant logistical advantages," it said.
NS Corp chairman Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said this project reflects Negeri Sembilan's vision to become a prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable state by 2045.
"Through strategic land use planning, enhanced infrastructure and utilities, and improved community amenities, we will elevate the quality of life for the people of Negeri Sembilan.
"As the state government's strategic development agency, NS Corp is proud to collaborate with SD Guthrie and EcoWorld to make this vision a reality," he said.
Meanwhile, SD Guthrie Group Managing Director Datuk Mohamad Helmy Othman Basha said with the company's strong presence and proven track record in sustainable practices, it is well positioned to support Negri Sembilan's development ambitions.
"Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles are core to our new business verticals, guiding us in creating future-ready industrial ecosystems that deliver long-term value for our shareholders," he added.
