KUALA LUMPUR: Khazanah Nasional Bhd led consortium Gateway Development Alliance Sdn Bhd (GDA) has upped its stake in Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) to 84.12 per cent as at 5pm today.
The total includes MAHB's shares that have been transferred to the offerers but pending receipt of acceptance of 1.09 per cent.
GDA has until Jan 17, 2025 to achieve its 90 per cent acceptance condition to take MAHB private for RM11 a share.
GDA comprises of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Khazanah, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP).
According to MAHB's filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities, the offer will remain open for acceptances until 5pm on January 17.
On Monday, Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP) accepted GDA's RM11 a share offer for shares it owns in MAHB.
KWAP and its affiliates sold 119.25 million shares, representing a 7.15 per cent stake in MAHB, to GDA.
MAHB's share price closed 1.32 per cent or 14 sen higher at RM10.78, bringing its market capitalisation to RM17.99 billion.
