KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia ended morning trading in the red dragged by healthcare and energy sector heavyweights.
At 12.30pm, FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI slipped 0.01 per cent or 0.15 points to 1,618.15.
Losers led gainers in the broader market 634 to 241 while 493 counters were unchanged.
On the index board, FBM100 lost 0.01 per cent to 11,921.29, FBM Emas droped 0.07 per cent to 12,212.09 and FBM Ace was down 1.12 per cent to 5,044.02.
Maybank Investment Bank said the healthcare sector declined, with more than half its stocks in the red, while the energy sector saw further losses likely due to a 4.0 per cent drop in oil prices following Israel's airstrikes miss on Iranian facilities.
Of the actives, Sorento Capital Bhd closed unchanged at 37 sen following its debut on the ACE Market today.
