TNG Digital, Arus Oil partner to allow eWallet users to receive payment for recycling used cooking oil

KUALA LUMPUR: TNG Digital Sdn Bhd (TNG Digital) has partnered with Arus Oil (My Protech Sdn Bhd) to allow TNG eWallet users to recycle used cooking oil (UCO) and receive payments directly in their eWallets.

TNG Digital chief executive officer Alan Ni said the company is committed to building a comprehensive and sustainable ecosystem through its TNG eWallet platform, enhancing the overall well-being of its users and the environment.

With this initiative, Ni said the company encourage Malaysians to recycle their used cooking oil, earn rewards, and make a positive impact on the environment through our platform.

"This partnership with Arus Oil represents a significant step towards a greener and more sustainable future for all," he said.

Meanwhile, Arus Oil chief executive officer Syazwan Majid said this partnership aligns with the company's mission to lead Malaysia towards a greener future by turning waste into a resource.

"By facilitating the recycling of UCO through the cashless platform, we are empowering Malaysians to contribute directly to the environmental preservation of renewable energy while earning rewards."

"Together, we are not just imagining a sustainable future—we are actively building it," said Syazwan.

Household UCO can be collected and stored in a glass bottle or jerry can, provided it is kept in anon-flammable location at room temperature.

Restaurants handling larger volumes of UCO areadvised to use barrels.

Money earned from recycling UCO will be credited instantly to users' TNG eWallets, which canbe used for payments and more, adding value to this environmentally friendly action.

Currently operating within the Klang Valley, Arus Oil plans to expand its services to additional locations, including the northern region and East Malaysia.Ends
