Michelin has unveiled the Pilot Sport 4 SUV that is designed specifically for premium, high performance sports utility vehicles (SUVs).
It is developed for customers who look for longevity, excellent braking performance, responsive handling and comfortable rides for their vehicles.
As one of the leading tyre brands in terms of compounding technology, the new Pilot Sport 4 SUV tyres incorporate innovative functional elastomers and thin silica, enabling the tyre to place first in wet handling tests held against other premium tyre brands.
Based on an external test conducted by TUV SUD product service, the Michelin took up to 5.06 seconds faster to complete the 1,050m track.
It also recorded dry braking distance of up to 2.7m shorter than its competitors on the same test using 235/60/18 on Audi Q5.
The new Pilot Sport 4 SUV features a new asymmetrical groove design that strengthens the tread pattern and provides dynamic cornering capabilities.
A hybrid belt made of aramid and nylon is also designed to deliver sporty steering responsiveness and precision.
In terms of longevity, the new Michelin is said to offer better longevity of up to 13,000km more than its competitors, based on an external longevity test conducted by Dekra Test Centre.
The new Pilot Sport 4 SUV is priced from RM700 per piece for 17-inch size, and is offered in diameter of up to 23-inch.
It is now available at TYREPLUS and all Michelin authorised dealers across the nation.
