KUALA LUMPUR: A senior multimedia designer lost close to RM2,000 in less than five minutes after a total of seven unauthorised transactions were made to his TnG e-wallet.
He was shocked to see the incident, which happened between 5:32pm and 5:34 pm yesterday.
"I was shocked when I received an SMS from my bank CIMB informing me about the transactions," he told New Straits Times.
It is believed that the perpetrator made as many transactions as possible before the owner of the e-wallet realised it.
"I called CIMB and they asked me to unlink my card from the e-wallet to prevent further charges," he said.
"I believe my TnG e-wallet was hacked," he added.
NST tried to contact TnG e-wallet, however they were unable to give further comment on the issue.
