Clarins drops sunscreen with pollutant protector

Too much exposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays will get our skin in trouble but pollutants can cause dullness and accelerate ageing too.

Beauty brand Clarins knows this all too well. The brand discovers through a study that the major pollutants people face are atmospheric and indoor pollution, pollen, blue light and photo pollution.

Protection is key to lock out skin-damaging pollutants. The brand's new multi-protection moisturising screen called Clarins UV Plus (5P) Anti-Pollution is supposed to provide a natural shield for the skin.

This new innovation by the company is infused with a super ingredient, the organic mango leaf extract that's rich in antioxidant molecules to help activate the NRF2, which is the master regulator of the skin's antioxidant defence system.

Once activated, it will then stimulate the production of the antioxidants that defend the skin against the pollutants.

As for texture, users can expect a hydrating gel-cream that's lightweight, sweat-proof and offers SPF 50PA +++.

The cream comes in three shades; Translucent which has an invisible finish with no white residue, Rose which gives a second-skin finish with a rosy glow, and Lavender which fixes dullness and can be used to correct yellow skin tone.

It is available at Clarins counters nationwide and retails at RM185 for 30ml.
