#FASHION: Habib Semua House to close on Sept 30

Habib Semua House, the local jeweller's first Klang Valley store that opened in 1986, will have its final run on Sept 30, after 36 years in business.

Located in Jalan Masjid India, Semua House was a popular shopping spot in the 1980s, especially for bridal wear.

Habib was one of the first tenants in the mall and one of the last to remain up until the last day.

The store, the brand says, marked a big milestone for Habib as the first showroom in the nation's capital city, after Penang.

The showroom holds a special place for the brand as it was the original headquarters before the business moved to Ampang.

It was a place where families would make an outing for one-stop-shopping, especially during festive seasons like weddings and Hari Raya.

Under the leadership of its managing director Datuk Seri Meer Habib after completing his education, he expanded the business to where it is today with over 30 stores nationwide.

The brand continues to emphasise on quality and creativity in each and every piece of jewellery. It was his foresight in anticipating the demands of the customers during that era, being one of the pioneers to revolutionise the jewellery industry by offering unique and custom designs such as long chains and brooches foe men, and buttons for baju Melayu for men.
