SHAH ALAM: TikTok Shop organised a series of initiatives this year to empower 126 National Entrepreneurial Group Economic Fund (Tekun Nasional) sellers.
While Tekun Nasional has provided microfinancing facilities to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) keen on starting or expanding their business, TikTok Shop has come alongside to bolster these individuals with industry know-how and platform knowledge.
The efforts began with a workshop on Aug 6 and 7, at the Shah Alam Convention Centre.
The programme aimed to equip local entrepreneurs with vital e-commerce skills to strengthen their online presence.
The support extended beyond the initial workshop, as TikTok Shop organised an additional in-depth training session on Oct 17 at its Sunway Velocity Two office.
Sellers were given focused guidance to help optimise their performance on the platform. Incentives, including short video boosting, ads credits and product vouchers, further contributed to enhancing their online visibility.
The culmination of these efforts was celebrated at the Karnival Tekun Madani, held from Dec 6 to 8, in Hulu Langat.
The event, which featured a TikTok Shop booth, attracted a large crowd eager to support their favourite sellers and participate in a variety of fun-filled activities.
TikTok Shop also provided additional incentives to support sellers, including Live selling sessions featuring top-performing TEKUN sellers such as Aliod Outdoor Store, Nawwar Design, alcatalyibadahharianhajiumrah, Ilham Qaseh, Cekupala Empire and many more.
Additionally, TikTok Shop sellers were invited to conduct Live selling sessions at the TikTok Shop booth counters, featuring top sellers such as Zinnirah Baby & Kids Apparels, Lancia HQ, INT3TREE Original HQ, and JRM Holistik Yan.
Several TEKUN sellers also took the stage, showcasing unique local products and gaining direct engagement with customers.
Visitors enjoyed interactive booth games like Drop to Win and Ring Toss, which ran daily from 10am to 10pm.
Many walked away with exclusive TikTok Shop merchandise, adding a special touch to their carnival experience.
The Happy Hour Games became a crowd favourite, offering high-value prizes, including home karaoke sets, air purifiers, Huawei smartwatches and more.
The success of these events highlights the platform's commitment in supporting local businesses and fostering a vibrant marketplace.
