KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s Queen of Rock Ella gave her fans the power to decide performance venues for her upcoming nationwide roadshow tour to promote her latest album Peace.Love.Rindu.
Done via an online voting platform, the result sees that she’ll be rocking out in Selangor, Pahang, Penang, Sarawak, Johor, Kedah, Terengganu and Kuala Lumpur.
Thirty lucky diehard fans will also get to hang out with her in various meet-and-greet sessions at the series of locations.
It’s been a decade since the rock artiste last released a studio album and fans have been waiting eagerly for new material from Ella, whose real name is Norzila Aminuddin.
But Ella is keeping her musical momentum going at age 51 with the roadshow tour, that will see her accompanied by a live band performing a series of classic and new hits on top of a customised truck.
The latest album from the Standing In The Eyes Of The World hitmaker consists of eight songs.
A veritable Malaysian Who’s Who of composers and lyricists have contributed to the release, including Datuk M. Nasir, Edrie Hashim, Omar K, Ezra Kong, AG Coco, Sam Bunkface, Keon, Buddhi Hikayat and Ad Samad.
Peace.Love.Rindu has been out since Sept 25 and it is available via Lazada and XOX.
