'Perfect' wedding reception for Yuna from beloved father

KUALA LUMPUR: A father’s love is boundless. With musical talent to boot, the father of international artiste Yuna, Datuk Mat Zara'ai Alias, serenaded his newly-married daughter and son-in-law, as well as guests at the couple’s wedding reception in Perdana Hall at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) yesterday.

No stranger to performing live, he sang the fitting hit romantic ballad Perfect, by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.

He also performed Corazon Espinado, a Latin rock number popularised by Mexican-American guitarist Santana, while playing the guitar.

The reception saw the 31-year-old Crush hitmaker, elegantly dressed in a traditional Perak-styled ivory white bridal creation by popular Malaysian fashion designer Hatta Dolmat, looking resplendent next to her 33-year-old husband, Adam Yousof Sinclair.

About 1,500 people attended the wedding reception, including royalties, close family and friends, as well as fellow celebrities such as The Voice 2012’s Dez Duron.

The Los Angeles-based artiste, whose real name is Yunalis Mat Zara'ai, married Adam, a local director who is also the younger brother of actor Ashraf Sinclair, at a solemnisation ceremony last Friday at Puncak Rimba in Bentong, Pahang.

After meeting for the first time in 2013 during a project for an advertisement, their relationship then blossomed from 2015 onwards. The couple later got engaged on August 5 last year.
