#SHOWBIZ: Yuna wants to return to Malaysia for good to start a family

KUALA LUMPUR: After 15 years of being based in the United States, popular singer Yunalis Mat Zara'ai says she wants to return to Malaysia for good to start her own family.

Having been married to filmmaker Adam Sinclair since 2018, the 37-year-old artiste admits that they want to set up their own home here as a step towards their dream of becoming parents.

"First of all, we want to make sure that we can prepare a cosy and comfortable 'nest' before welcoming our little ones.

"Build our own home, and ensure that everything is in place and that we are both physically and mentally stable to raise our own kids," she said in a news report today.

"We've tried before, but with no luck. And besides, I was still living in the US, only coming back when there were opportunities such as work and holiday," she said.

Yuna added that Malaysia is the best place for her to start a family.

"The quality of family life here is much better. I feel safer here, especially with a strong support system I have from both sides of our extended family," she said.
