KUALA LUMPUR: They may still love dancing, but their fitness levels need a boost with a little help from a trainer.

Datuk Norman Abdul Halim, the eldest of the KRU brothers, made this frank admission yesterday, as Yusry, Edry and himself got busy preparing for their KRU25 concert at Istana Budaya, Jalan Tun Razak next month.

"We're training almost every day now, and strengthening ourselves with physical exercise at home. We've got a good trainer who conducts exercises that last an hour or two, and we also play badminton twice a week," said the 48-year-old Norman in a news report in BH Online today.

"We must look our best for our big day, as it's going to be a three-day concert from May 4 to 6. The three of us must be physically and mentally fit to give fans a great showcase."

Norman added that they were in the process of finalising their song list, as well as their stage design, costumes and lighting.

The concert marks the climax of the hip-hop and pop trio's 25th anniversary celebrations which began at the Esplanade in Singapore in August 2016.

"Each of us has a specific duty to make the concert a success. For example, Yusry is the creative director who determines the concepts behind each of our performances, and the stories behind them," said Norman.

"KRU25, on the whole, will be like a time tunnel for fans, and we'll take them down memory lane beginning with our early hits Awas, Oh La La and Apa Saja."

Norman also said the concert wouldnbe enhanced with state-of-the-art visuals on LED screens and the latest fashion designs from Jovian Mandagie.

Tickets for the 8.30pm concert are priced between RM158 and RM1,188. Call 03-4026 5555 / 2276 0038.
