#Showbiz: Singer Siti Nordiana says 'no' to married men

KUALA LUMPUR: Gegar Vaganza 2 winner Siti Nordiana Alias is in no hurry to end her “single parent” days, and admits she once turned down a proposal from a married man.

She said she was not in favour of polygamy as becoming a man's second wife could hurt the feelings of his other spouse.

"Worse still, I could become the target of gossip mongers who would accuse me of a home-wrecker," she said when met yesterday.

But Siti Nordiana is not ruling out remarrying someday.

"Marriage is in God's hands, and I'm not in a hurry for it. But for me, there's strictly no polygamy since I don't want to hurt others' feelings. The man's first wife may appear accommodating but as a woman, I know exactly how she would feel deep inside."

Siti Nordiana, who launched her latest single Hatiku Milikmu at Flora Terrace Restaurant in Jalan Tun Razak yesterday, has a 10-year-old son Muhammad Nakhaie Rayyan from her marriage to the late actor Faizal Yusuf.

She and Faizal were married between 2006 and 2009. He died of a heart attack in 2011.

Hatiku Milikmu, which Siti Nordiana wrote and composed, is accompanied by a music video filmed by Storytellrs. Shot in in Krabi, Thailand last month, it depicts Siti Nordiana in a love triangle with actors Alvin Chong and Fikry Ibrahim. The video is available on YouTube.
