KUALA LUMPUR: Away from the glaring spotlight for nine years, Fauziah Latiff is set to return to the small screen and recording studio soon.
The Malaysian Idol judge affectionately known to fans as Jee recently said she would be appearing in a telemovie, but declined to reveal its details.
“It’s a serious drama, like Gelora Di Hati Sara which I starred in eight years ago. And it’s got some major names, too,” she said in a recent news report.
Fauziah, 47, co-starred with Datuk Rosyam Nor and Watie Sadali of Elite in the 26-episode drama series about the challenges in love and life faced by a young woman who works in a multi-national company.
She also revealed that she would be coming up with a new single by year end, two years after releasing the well-received Takdir Cinta.
“Next month, I’ll be going on a motorcycle adventure from KL to Langkawi, and it’s part of The Royal Langkawi International Bike Fest 2018,” said Fauziah, who has been named as the event’s Ladies On Wheels icon.
Fauziah explained that she will be one of 100 women bikers who will be riding to Langkawi from Oct 5 to 7 as part of the festival.
“We’ll be stopping at various towns to meet and greet the people all along the way. And we’ll also be promoting Langkawi as a bikers’ destination, too,” said Fauziah who has been singing for 32 years.
When asked if she would be singing at the festival, Fauziah said she might entertain fellow bikers in the late evenings.
