KUALA LUMPUR: The manager of actor Fattah Amin, Sakirin Acha or Acha, says he is not privy to the alleged Thursday release of Fattah's duet single with ex-wife Nur Fazura, titled Bertahan Demi Cinta.
Acha also rejected accusations by netizens that Fattah was using his divorce issue as a gimmick to promote the single.
"I just contacted Fattah to find out about this and he said he didn't know about the launch of this duet single.
"I want to emphasise that his divorce is not a gimmick to promote a duet single or a trifling matter. I would be the first person to dissuade Fattah if he wanted to promote the single now," he said.
According to Acha, Fattah said that the duet single was recorded a long time ago and used as one of the soundtracks for the drama series, Hero Seorang Cinderella 2.
"This song was once played in the drama Hero Seorang Cinderella 2. The process of filming the music video had also been done in Indonesia a long time ago.
"I just didn't think that this single would be launched now and garner so much of fitnah. I hope netizens will stop making these false speculations," he said.
Meanwhile, when asked about Fattah's latest condition after the divorce on Monday, Acha said that the actor is in good condition.
"God willing, Fattah is fine. I'm confident that he'll stay strong in facing this big challenge. It's just that what happened made him very stressed and shocked, but I hope he calms down and accepts it," he said.
Earlier, Indonesian record label Hits Records posted an announcement on Instagram that the couple would be releasing the single Bertahan Demi Cinta on Oct 10 on all digital streaming platforms.
On Monday, Fattah pronounced the single talak for divorce in front of Syariah Judge Abdul Malik Soleh at 9.45am at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court in Subang Bestari after seven years of marriage to Fazura.
Fazura and Fattah got married on Nov 27, 2017, and they have a daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya, 4.
