KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Nabila Huda, who is an avid traveller, has embarked on yet another adventurous holiday, this time around Southeast Asia.
The 33-year-old star of Munafik set off on her three-week backpacking vacation by train last night, and said that she had planned it two months ago following discussions with her husband Mohd Izwan Johar.
“It was quite a last minute decision, without much preparations, and I’m travelling light with just a little pocket money,” said Nabila in a news report yesterday.
“I’ve always wanted to go on a holiday around the region by train, and besides the railway, I’ll be utilising public transport such as buses and taxis all the way.”
Nabila who is the daughter of rock legend Amy of Search admitted that travelling was a “therapeutic” experience for her after lots of hard work on film and drama sets.
“I’m always energised when I travel and I’m looking forward to explore Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia till the end of the month,” she said.
Nabila said she had not booked any hotel rooms, and would check into the most convenient and affordable ones along her journey.
“I’ll even spend the night in hostels. I don’t go for luxury, what matters is cleanliness and safety.”
Nabila said she sometimes invited close friends to travel with her, but this time she chose to “go solo” as most of them were busy with work.
In July, Nabila had a holiday in the Maldives, and in September last year, she climbed up to the Annapurna Base Camp, at an altitude of 4,130 metres in Nepal.
Nabila has also visited Lombok in Indonesia, Boracay in the Philippines and Rome in Italy.
