#Showbiz: A chance to 'high five' Ong Seong Wu!

KUALA LUMPUR: Fans of former member of K-Pop group Wanna One, Ong Seong Wu, still have a chance to catch the fresh-faced idol in the flesh on March 23 as tickets to his first ever Fan Meeting in Malaysia are still available.

It was earlier reported that fans showed their eagerness to catch the 23-year-old South Korean singer and actor from Incheon in person by quickly snapping up tickets after they went on sale last month which apparently crashed the ticketing server.

Although the Apple Zone tickets, priced at RM580 a piece, are completely sold out, fans can still purchase tickets from the other categories to the solo event, titled Eternity.

The tickets are for the Lychee Zone (RM480), Mango Zone (RM380) and Orange Zone (RM280) but these are selling fast too. The fan meet, which will take place at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur at 6pm, showcases Ong Seong Wu’s charm as a solo artiste while serving as a platform for fans to connect and interact with the star.

Tickets to all of the zones will entitle fans to receive an Official Poster and also the “Hi-Touch” privilege, where every ticket holder gets to high five Ong Seong Wu on stage!

Aside from that, 350 lucky ticketholders from the Apple Zone (RM580), 160 from the Lychee Zone (RM480) and 50 from the Mango Zone (RM380) will be randomly selected to take a group photo with Ong Seong Wu.

On top of that, 60 fans from the Apple Zone, 30 from the Lychee Zone and 10 from the Mango Zone will be randomly chosen to win an autographed photo.

Organised by Hatchery, the event will also feature a booth close to the stage where fans can receive a plastic card ticket as a souvenir.

Ong Seong Wu shot to fame in 2017 as a participant of the survival show, Produce 101, which led to the formation of the 11-member project group Wanna One that was recently disbanded.

The fan meeting marks the start of the idol’s solo career that will kick off in full swing as the year progresses. The heartthrob will make his TV drama debut, which also marks his first lead role, alongside other projects that are in the pipeline.

Kuala Lumpur marks the second stop of the fan-meet tour in Asia after Bangkok, before heading to Singapore on April 6.
