PETALING JAYA: When he initially began working on his new single Angin Lalu last year, little did singer-songwriter Aizat Amdan expect its poignant lyrics would hit very close to home.
The song which touches on losing one’s happiness like a passing breeze and that nothing in this world lasts forever, was written and composed by Aizat together with Mel Ramlan.
And last Jan 9, five months short of the release of Angin Lalu, Aizat’s father Datuk Amdan Mat Din breathed his last due to complications from a stroke which he had sustained in 2017.
The 30-year-old artiste took some time off to grieve and to cope with his father’s death since he was very close to him.
“Before he died, among his last wishes was that I performed with an orchestra.
“And to realise his wish as best as I could, I had Angin Lalu be arranged by Indonesia’s top strings arranger, Alvin Witrasa,” said Aizat whose eyes glistened when he talked about his father.
When met at Warner Music Malaysia office here today, he said that the single was now available on all digital platforms.
Aizat has also produced a short film to go with the song, which can be viewed on his YouTube channel.
Angin Lalu’s official music video will only be released on May 17.
