KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Fahrin Ahmad has been happily married to his fellow law graduate Elena Eleas for four years now.
Reminiscing on the first day they met, the Pilot Cafe star uploaded a photo on his Instagram yesterday which showed them posing as the Best Dressed Man and Woman of Universiti Teknologi Mara’s (UiTM) law faculty matriculation dinner, 20 years ago.
Fahrin, who celebrated his 40th birthday and wedding anniversary yesterday, was dressed in a blue baju Melayu while Elena, 39, was wearing a long, red floral dress with a Chinese-style collar.
In the caption to the flashback photo, Fahrin said: “Epic 20 years ago. Back then she was still at arm’s length from me. I never thought we’d end up together someday, 17 years later. As they say ‘jodoh lintas depan mata’. We were not friends then, just batch mates.”
Elena also uploaded the same photo on her Instagram account and in her caption she said: “Happy 40th birthday to the handsome man in blue. Love you!”
Netizens congratulated Fahrin and Elena, and most viewed the couple as a “match made in heaven”.
“Alamak! King and queen of the party. Match made in heaven all right. Tahniah!” said Riyad.
“Kalau dah jodoh tak ke mana. Happy birthday Fahrin and happy anniversary Fahrin and Elena,” said Amirul.
The couple have a 3-year-old son Khalifa Fahrel.
