#Showbiz: Accident victim thanks Fathia for help, admits being a fan

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Nur Fathia Latiff may be a "pain" to many Netizens for her past controversies, but one of them has only words of praise for her.

A young man known as Ucu Loy revealed on Twitter last week that Fathia proved herself a Good Samaritan when she lent a helping hand to one of his friends involved in a road accident.

In his May 21 tweet, Ucu said: "My friend Sai suffered injuries in a motorcycle accident, and Fathia was the first bystander to rush to his aid. He thanks her and would love to meet her again."

Ucu said that Fathia and another pedestrian applied pressure to Sai's wounds, while others called an ambulance. She comforted Sai with kind words until the ambulance arrived to take him to the nearest hospital.

"Sai is a lot better now, the injuries to his head and left arm were not too serious. He's in good spirits and admits he's a Fathia fan!"

Since 2017, Fathia has been in the news for the wrong reasons, beginning with her appearance in a controversial Bigo Live app video which depicted her dancing while sporting revealing attire.

She also came under fire for making social media comments which sounded ridiculous to Netizens, including one on "cashless society".

Last month, she removed her hijab which she had worn since 2016 and told Netizens that it was her choice.

Most recently, a Netizen identified as Syilala accused the 32-year-old actress of bad-mouthing her.
