KUALA LUMPUR: Amelia Henderson may be relatively new in showbiz, but the model-actress has just clinched her first international award.
The 23-year-old beauty recently did her country proud by winning the Asian Model category of the Asia Model Festival 2019 in Seoul, South Korea.
Amelia shared her moment of success with her fans and followers by uploading a video on Instagram yesterday, which showed her acceptance speech at the awards ceremony.
“It’s been such an honour for me to represent my beautiful country and I want to say thank you, terima kasih, to the organisers and all participants of this wonderful event,” said Amelia.
In the caption to the video she said: “Never forget where you came from. Thank you Asia Model Festival for the award.”
The posting saw congratulatory wishes from Netizens.

Amelia first starred in Peter Pan The Musical at Istana Budaya in 2007 when she was 12. She has appeared in more than 10 plays and musicals as well as 50 television advertisements since 2008.
Her television series and dramas include Millennium Child, Warna Ungu, A Tropical Christmas, Keluarga Adam and Jangan Benci Cintaku.
Prior to becoming an actress, she was a dancer and represented Malaysia at the 15th Asia Pacific Dance Competition 2013 in Manila, the Philippines.
Last year, she impressed Netizens, including singers Kaka Azraff and Caprice with her rapping skills in an Instagram video. They commended her impressive performance of Busta Rhymes’ song Look At Me Now.
