#Showbiz: There's always someone to support you, says Twice's Nayeon and Momo on feeling alone

KUALA LUMPUR: In light of Korean idol Sulli’s unfortunate passing, K-Pop fans have been spreading messages of support for people who may be feeling depressed or alone.

Sulli, 25, who had previously battled depression and often spoke about cyber bullying, was alleged to have taken her life last Monday.

According to Koreaboo, Nayeon and Momo of popular girl group Twice who were featured in a video clip talking about pushing forward and keeping a positive mindset, had been shared by fans.

During a live broadcast with the two idols, Nayeon noticed a fan’s comment saying that she felt like no one was on her side.

The 24-year-old Korean singer said that she could relate to the feeling and added that quite a lot of people actually felt this way from time to time.

But she explained that, “if you take a closer look, there’s always someone supporting you.”

Momo, 22, who is a Japanese national, added that, “there’s at least one person there for support.”

Nayeon then said: “Don’t turn your back on everyone and build walls around you because you feel like no one is on your side.”

She also elaborated on the point that these people might not even be who you were expecting but that they would care and be there.

Both agreed that it all comes down to one’s thinking, whether one looks at things in a positive way or in a negative way.

“When you’re thinking like that (negatively), it’s harder to see it,” said Momo. She added that it might be hard sometimes to think positively but it would be a more worthwhile pursuit in the long run.

Meanwhile, the music video to Twice’s latest hit single, Feel Special, which dropped late last month has become the group’s fastest music video to reach 100 million views on YouTube.

Soompi reported that the music video took only 21 days to reach the mark, breaking the K-Pop outfit’s previous record of 29 days for Fancy.

The Feel Special music video is Twice’s 13th one to surpass the 100 million views mark on YouTube.
