KUALA LUMPUR: After eight years as a single mother, singer and actress Sasha Saidin has tied the knot with Sirhan Wahab, her former school chum.
Their union which took place at The Sanctuary Kuala Lumpur yesterday, was solemnised by Sasha’s younger brother Zain Saidin. In attendance were family members and close friends whom also included some celebrities.
“I’m back to being someone’s wife now. Please pray for our happiness,” said the 43-year-old artiste in a news report yesterday.
Sasha said that she would be following her husband to the United Arab Emirates as he worked in the financial sector there.
The 42-year-old bridegroom presented his bride RM1,000 as dowry and RM10,000 as wedding gift.
Sasha said that they knew each other in secondary school. The two started to reconnect and became close again last year.
While Sasha has a 10-year-old son Adam Aryasenna Notosoemarsono from her second marriage, Sirhan has two from his previous marriage.
The former Elite bandmember’s first marriage was with Johan Abdullah Skinner in 2003. However, they divorced four years later.
In 2007, she married Indonesian Salyo Priyanto, but divorced in 2012.
Also spotted at the wedding last night were Sasha’s sister-in-law Rozita Che Wan, Maria Tunku Sabri and her former bandmates Azza, Watie and Linda Rafar.
