KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Zain Saidin, 40, has denied allegations that he "did nothing" when his wife Rozita Che Wan, 51, was stuck with unpaid debts to Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara).
In a Harian Metro report yesterday, Zain said that he was in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah selling his perfume products.
"I am making an effort to help her, whoever buys this perfume is lending a hand. All of us in the family are right behind her and doing our best," he said.
Zain also denied allegations that his wife Rozita or Che Ta was flaunting her wealth despite being saddled with debt.
He said that it was all the result of hard work and they had no intention of showing off.
Last Tuesday, Che Ta's residence in Petaling Jaya was reportedly raided by Mara officers due to the actress' failure to settle outstanding debts of RM1 million.
