KUALA LUMPUR: Popular South Korean actor, Lee Kwang-soo was reported to be involved in a road accident involving two vehicles last Saturday.
As a result from the crash, the 34-year-old artiste who rose to stardom from being a part of the popular variety show Running Man, Lee had to go for a procedure today, according to news report by Soompi.
The news was also confirmed by his agency today.
In a statement from the agency, it said: “On Saturday afternoon, the car in which Lee was riding in had been hit by another vehicle which ran a red light at a junction.
“After having diagnosed with a broken ankle on his right leg, he had also been hospitalised and scheduled for a surgery.
“As such, Lee couldn’t be taking part in any of the activities lined up for him for the time being, including filming for Running Man. We hope fans would understand this situation and let him focus on his recovery.”
