KUALA LUMPUR: Popular singer Ziana Zain is saddened by rumours that she has been stopping her children from visiting her ex-husband Armin Zaharin Ahmad Zambri.
In a recent news report, the 52-year-old artiste said she was hurt by allegations that she had influenced her children to despise Armin, and insisted that she had always asked them if they wanted to meet their father.
"Some people have alleged that I do not allow my children to meet Armin. That is not true. We may have gone separate ways, but never have I stopped them from meeting their father.
"It is just that they are not ready to meet him, they need time. I understand them, and I will always say 'yes' should they be ready to see him," she said.
Admitting feeling sad seeing her kids growing up without their dad, Ziana however said she admired them for their strength and patience. She said that her eldest son Muhammad Aiman had been taking good care of his siblings.
"I pray that my children will continue to be blessed and strong in facing life's challenges."
Ziana and Armin, 60, were married in May 1998, and they have four children, Muhammad Aiman, 21, Muhammad Ammar, 16, and twins Muhammad Ariel and Siti Nur Kaseh, 11.
They divorced in July 2018, a few months after Armin was charged with causing grievous hurt to Muhammad Ariel at home.
