KOTA BARU: Police have arrested an influencer for breaking into the home of her former husband's wife on July 22.
The suspect, in her 20s, was detained at about 11.30pm yesterday following a report lodged by the victim on Aug 4.
Today, police obtained a six-day remand order against her at Kota Baru Magistrate's Court.
The remand order will end on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Kota Baru police chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Rosdi Daud said the wife of the suspect's ex-husband filed a report at around 9.47pm.
In the report, she said her house had been broken into when she returned home at around 11.30pm on July 22.
"Upon inspection, she found several items missing and discovered a packet of medicine with the suspect's name written on it on a table in her room," he said.
Rosdi said the suspect admitted to forcing open the door and entering the residence while the complainant was away.
Rosdi said the case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code, which deals with house breaking.
A TikTok video featuring the influencer and the wife of her ex-husband had earlier gone viral.
In the video, both women discuss their marriage to the same man.
In the posting, the suspect claimed that she had been abused by the man, prompting her to leave the man.
Their live video has been viewed by over 50,000 people and has sparked a range of reactions from netizens.
