#Showbiz: Comedian Danial Zaini gets Anwar Ibrahim's nod for parody

KUALA LUMPUR: Muzikal Lawak Superstar participant Danial Zaini must have made quite an impression during his recent performance that he received the approval of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Anwar Ibrahim.

The Port Dickson MP re-tweeted a clip from the show which was earlier put up by another user.

The 73-year-old politician wrote: "Salute! Those of us who understand the arts should celebrate."

In the two-minute clip, comedian Danial Zaini impersonated Anwar in a sketch during a recent episode of the show aired last Friday.

Danial, together with his fellow group members — singers Ezad Lazim and Azmi Saat — put up a show which tells a story of how a group of people are sharing their manisfesto while lobbying for the position of the village head.

While many complimented Danial for his impersonation skills, many Twitter users were equally impressed with Anwar for his cool response to the parody.
