#Showbiz: Sharnaaz Ahmad 'elects himself as YB', help those in need

KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Sharnaaz Ahmad has asked his followers on Instagram to help shine a light on any individuals who are in need of everyday goods and groceries.

In an IGTV post yesterday, the 35-year-old artiste kicked off his effort to help the less fortunate by donating 100 packs of goods.

"Praise be to God, we were successful in aiding those in need with 100 packs for now. I as a state assembly member that has not been elected by the government, hereby elect myself to help out.

"The team from Mamu Legacy and Sharnaaz Ahmad TV have put together a little donation," he said.

The Devoted, Aku Bukan Bidadari and Jebat star added that those who noticed white flags being hoisted as a sign of needing help, which was currently a hot topic, should contact him.

"I am aware of this whole white flag issue going on now. I ask that if you know of anyone around who has a white flag up or really needs help, to contact us.

"Help them by sharing this assistance and ask them to come and get these donations. This is our way of helping those in dire need during this Covid-19 pandemic.

"This is currently our job to help those in need," he said.

The short video also featured the gathering area where the various daily necessities were put in plastic bags to be distributed to those in need.

The post has so far garnered close to 310,000 views with over 800 comments from Netizens praising the actor's effort to help those badly affected by the pandemic.
