#Showbiz: Pregnant Siti Sarah undergoes C-section to save baby

KUALA LUMPUR: The health condition of seven-month pregnant singer Siti Sarah Raissuddin has stabilised.

However, the doctors are preparing her for a Caesarean section this afternoon in order to save the baby.

News on the 36-year-old artiste's latest development was shared by her manager Nana Mohamad Rom today.

"Praise be to God, Shuib (Siti Sarah's husband) just called me. He said that right after a Yassin recital at noon the doctor had informed him that Sarah was in a more stable condition.

"God-willing, the doctor will proceed with an operation to have the baby delivered. God-willing, Sarah will be okay," she said in a message to the media.

Nana also thanked everyone who had participated in the Yassin recital for the benefit of Siti Sarah and her baby.

"It's really a heavy test that Shuib and family are going through now. God-willing, the surgery will save both mother and baby.

"Thank you for all of your prayers and words of encouragement," she said.

Siti Sarah was admitted to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital's ICU this morning.

It was previously reported that Siti Sarah and family had all tested positive for Covid-19 since July 25 after conducting swab tests at home.

She was then rushed to the hospital in an ambulance on Wednesday due to low oxygen levels.
