KUALA LUMPUR: Pop queen Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, Naim Daniel and Aina Abdul are three of the country's most streamed artistes on musical platform Joox this year.
Five Malaysian artistes made it to the annual list's top five, and the others were nasyid singer Ustaz Khairul Anuar Al-Hafiz and newcomer Reedzwan.
Aina, 28, said that she was honoured to share the top five spot with her idol Siti.
"Thank God, this achievement is very meaningful for me. I want to thank all listeners for supporting me, and supporting Malaysian talents. It is a great incentive for me to rise higher in my profession," she said in an interview with Harian Metro today.
Aina added that she had always worked hard to ensure that her music reached as many listeners as possible, and she was a strong believer in the use of social media and musical platforms.
"Thank you so much, too, Joox. I hope to launch more new songs on your platform in the years to come."
The top five songs in Joox were Mimpi by Haqiem Rusli, Adakah Ini Mimpi by Reedzwan, Teman by Iman Troye, Semalam by Aina, and Purnama by Naim.
South Korean pop group BTS dominated the international artistes category, together with BlackPink, Twice, Rose and IU.
