#Showbiz: Siti, Yusof Haslam among 7 Masters In The House Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Pop queen Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza and award-winning filmmaker Datuk Yusof Haslam top the list of five reputable Malaysians who share their success stories with young celebrities in Master In The House Malaysia (MITHM).

The 10-episode show which is based on South Korean reality show Master In The House (MITH), is a joint production of Primeworks Studios and SBS Korea.

It will be screened weekly from 10pm to 11pm on TV3 every Saturday beginning Jan 15.

MITHM's five participating celebrities are singers Hael Husaini, Andi Bernadee, and Meyrasam of the girl group Cassia, and actresses Scha Elinnea and Sharifah Rose.

The five Malaysian Masters are Siti, Yusof, badminton legend Datuk Rashid Sidek, celebrity chef Sherson Lian and Wau Animation founder Usamah Zaid, and they are joined by two Korean Masters namely choreographer Son Sung Deuk who has worked with K-Pop group BTS and Thailand-born K-Pop star BamBam of Got7 fame.

In every episode, Hael, Scha, Sharifah, Andi and Meyrasam meet a Master and are given special assignments to complete within two days. They learn about teamwork, thinking out of the box and making full use of their strengths to achieve seemingly impossible tasks.

Media Prima Television Networks and Primeworks Studios deputy chief executive officer Nini Yusof said that filming took place in Malaysia and South Korea late last year, and the contestants spent 10 days in Korea with BamBam and Son.

"MITHM is our first major collaboration with SBS and we have learnt a lot from our Korean counterpart. We hope that this new show will enable promising young talents to learn from successful Malaysians from various professions, on how to reach for the stars," she said at the launch of the show in the Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre, One Utama Shopping Centre, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya today.

MITHM is sponsored by CheongKwanJang (CKJ), Lifebuoy and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G.

MITH has been screened annually on SBS since 2017.
