#Showbiz: Jalaluddin Hassan receives lifetime achievement award

KUALA LUMPUR: For his contributions to the film industry spanning three decades, actor Datuk Jalaluddin Hassan was recently honoured with a lifetime achievement award at the 6th World Outstanding Masters Excellence Awards.

The 68-year-old artiste most fondly remembered as the host for the game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (between 2000 and 2002), was presented with Malaysia Most Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Grandmaster Excellence Award from The Federation International Of Grandmaster Association (FIOGA).

"Throughout my 32 years in the entertainment industry, I'd never expected to receive such an award to honour my hard work and contributions to the field.

"Receiving this however, doesn't mean that I will slow down my pace in my journey as an artiste," said Jalaluddin in a news report today.

He received the trophy from the National Film Development Corporation (Finas) CEO Prof Dr Md Nasir Ibrahim.

Another recipient was Amelia Henderson who received Malaysia Most Outstanding Actress of the Year Grandmaster Excellence Award.

FIOGA is an official international organisation registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs as the only organisation in the world to hold the ISO/IEC 17024 Standard Certification (Personal Standard Certification in a Specific Field and Industry), which is recognised by 168 countries.
