KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actress Nabila Huda Suhaimi is currently in New York, United States, and has expressed her intention to try her luck in a Broadway musical.
Nabila said on Twitter yesterday that she had been in the United States' largest city for two weeks and "found happiness amidst boredom" by attending Broadway musicals.
"The last two weeks have been boring, but I have finally found happiness in the form of Broadway musicals.
"I am going to enjoy myself watching some of these world class productions and better still I plan to audition for one of them!"
Nabila added: "I want to enjoy the experience of it all. In fact many of my good friends such as (radio announcer) Fara Fauzana have encouraged me to give it a shot.
"I may not be young any more, but then age is no barrier to getting a spot in Broadway."
Nabila has previously appeared in Malaysian musical Mud produced by Enfiniti Productions and staged at The Platform in Menara Ken TTDI, Taman Tun Dr Ismail here in 2018.
She has also starred in plays staged at Istana Budaya, Jalan Tun Razak, such as Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck directed by Siti Rohayah Atan, Ola Bola The Musical directed by Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina and Bawang Putih Bawang Merah directed by Erma Fatima.
