KUALA LUMPUR: Celebrity couple Janna Nick and Dini Schatzmann tied the knot in a private ceremony this morning.
The ceremony was held at Masjid Aisyah, Jalan Padang Matsirat, while the reception took place at a resort in Langkawi.
The couple, Muhamad Dini Azan Schatzmann, known as Dini, and Nurul Jannah Muner, who goes by Janna, were joined by celebrities Izzue Islam, Nora Danish, Ain Edruce, Puteri Sarah Liyana, Nadia Brian, Mawar Rashid, and Dayah Bakar.
During the ceremony, 29-year-old Dini presented Jannah with a dowry of RM2,703, symbolising their first meeting on March 27, 2019, along with a gold necklace.
Dini expressed his immense happiness and gratitude for the smooth wedding proceedings and eagerly looked forward to embarking on the next chapter of their lives as husband and wife.
"Alhamdulillah, I was thrilled to the core and relieved that our ceremony proceeded smoothly today. Our journey as husband and wife has already begun," said Dini.
"We planned this marriage in privacy so it would be more meaningful to our family. This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment in our lives. We want to make it our greatest memory," he added.
Janna shared her excitement about entering a new phase in her life.
"This is a new phase for me. Changing my single status to somebody's wife and, insya-Allah, as a mother-to-be," said Janna.
She also expressed her desire to celebrate the occasion as Nurul Jannah with her beloved family and friends.
Regarding their honeymoon plans, Dini revealed that they had chosen Koh Lipe, Thailand, as their destination.
"We didn't get a chance to go on a far trip for our honeymoon as our shooting has already started. But we still take this chance to go on a vacation together at Koh Lipe. This is going to be our first honeymoon destination," he added.
When asked about their career plans and having children, Jannah stated that they would continue with their careers and be prepared if they decide to have a baby.
"We put everything on Allah, we are always prepared and ready if we have a baby. If things are at ease, maybe I will start to slow down my career and focus more on my family," said Jannah.
