KUALA LUMPUR: Artiste Janna Nick is appealing to fans and the public to stop asking her about starting a family.
In an emotional video shared on Instagram earlier today, Janna, 29, struggled to contain her emotions as she addressed the issue with her husband, fellow actor Dini Schatzmann, sitting beside her.
While Janna has managed to handle such questions in the past, she shared that a recent comment crossed the line.
A social media user named Craig posted: "Dini must have too much female hormones (in his body). That's why Janna can't conceive."
Outraged by the insensitive remark, Janna responded: "This is beyond rude."
Fighting back tears, she explained her feelings in the video, emphasising the impact such comments can have.
In the caption, she wrote: "I'm sorry for being so emotional. This time, I couldn't control my feelings."
"I know many wives trying to conceive feel the same or even worse. Society has normalized asking about children, but today, I want to normalize expressing my emotions as a TTC (trying to conceive) fighter," she added.
Janna also urged fans to stop assuming she's pregnant.
"If I am, I'll let you know!" she said.
The couple married in June 2023 and have tried various methods to conceive, but without success so far.
