KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza has been moved by her five-year-old daughter Siti Aafiyah Khalid's compassion towards a handicapped schoolmate.
In a recent video interview with women's magazine Mingguan Wanita, Siti said that she did not know about Aafiyah's kind gesture until her school teacher told her about it.
"Aafiyah has been helping her wheelchair-bound schoolmate as best as she can. She helps bring water for her friend whenever she needs a drink and also helps take certain objects for her friend's use," said Siti.
Siti added that as parents, she and her businessman husband Datuk Seri Khalid Jiwa have always encouraged their children Aafiyah and Afwa, 3, to be kind and helpful to their friends.
Siti was recently praised by Netizens for quietly helping fund a needy Malaysian's heart surgery. They described the pop queen as a shining role model for all Malaysians.
Singer and songwriter Faizal Tahir also praised Siti for quietly helping his charitable organisation I Am Faith Men especially during its humanitarian missions in Syria.
He described Siti, his idol, as a true servant of God in every sense.
