#Showbiz: Alleycats, Michael Veerappan and more to entertain at 'Musicians for Musicians' benefit concert 

KUALA LUMPUR: A local lineup of 20 live bands, duos and soloists featuring 100 talented musicians will be performing during the Musicians for Musicians benefit concert at the Barrister's Hall in Menara BAC, Petaling Jaya on Dec 3. 

The concert, aimed at supporting the country's live band musicians, was supposed to be held in 2020 but was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 

The upcoming event will showcase the Alleycats, Lord Justice, Sons of Adam, Stag, Strollers, Michael Veerappan & Trio (ft. Dasha Logan), Datuk Leonard Tan, Bala, JAMMERZ and Union Band. 

There will also be performances by 5 Ways, Small Stones, Jerry Arul, Plain Seven, Royston Sta Maria, NRG, 9 Lives, Heavy Machine, Plain Sevan, Winston Leo and many more. 

Adding to the star-studded atmosphere, popular musicians Pak Sheikh Arab, Vijay David, Sarah Dickman and Leasim will  perform the theme song for the benefit concert, Pesona Harapan, specially composed by veteran Malaysian singer-songwriter Royston Sta Maria. 

To top it off, Music Buddies will transport the crowd back to the nostalgic and infectious sounds of the 70s and 80s, ensuring an electrifying showbiz atmosphere throughout the nine-hour non-stop live music extravaganza which kicks off at 3pm. 

Organised by Persatuan Pemuzik Malaysia and co-sponsored by Brickfields Asia College (BAC) and Asia Wings Resources Sdn. Bhd, this concert promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience for music lovers of all ages. 

Single tickets are available for RM100. For those seeking an elevated experience, a table (10 pax) with a six-course menu is priced at RM5,000.00.

Members of the public may also donate to this noble cause by cash or bank transfer. 

All proceeds from the concert will be directed towards Persatuan Pemuzik Malaysia, a not-for-profit association committed to helping Malaysian musicians employed in clubs, hotels, and pubs to lead independent lives, enjoy a decent standard of living and sustain their creative pursuits.
