KUALA LUMPUR: Singaporean singer and actor Aliff Aziz, 33, has urged all parties to give him "time" to salvage his marriage to singer and actress Bella Astillah.
He said in an interview with Berita Harian today that he still loved his family and would do everything he could to reconcile with Bella.
"I want to do everything I can to save my marriage for the sake of the children," said Aliff.
"I miss my children, I made mistakes but at the end of the day, any decision made has to take them into consideration."
Aliff was met at the Federal Territories Syariah Court in Jalan Duta today, where Bella's application to seek a divorce from him was given a second mention.
The court ordered Aliff and Bella to attend a reconciliation committee process on June 4. Aliff has refused to divorce Bella.
Aliff thanked the court for allowing reconciliation procedures to take place.
"I call on my friends in the media to give space for reconciliation. I pray that obstacles will be overcome and there will be a good resolution to this."
Bella filed for divorce on March 11, three days after Aliff and actress Ruhanies Zainul Ilyas were caught for khalwat at her condominium here.
