KUALA LUMPUR: Producer Datuk Yusof Haslam has declined to comment on rumours that he has just become a grandfather again.
In an interview with Harian Metro yesterday, Yusof said that he was "in the dark" about his son Syamsul's new baby, as they had not been in contact for some time.
Talk of Syamsul's second wife Ira Kazar giving birth to a healthy baby has been rife on social media over the last week.
"My wife and I haven't been in contact with Syamsul for a while but as his parents, we wish him well," said Yusof.
Yusof added that if news of Syamsul's newborn baby was true, they would congratulate him and his wife and pray for their continued happiness and health.
Syamsul and Ira, the daughter of actor Kazar Saisi, were married in Thailand on Jan 6 last year.
Mat Kilau director Syamsul was previously married to actress Puteri Sarah Liyana from March 8, 2014, to June 14 last year.
Syamsul and Puteri Sarah have two children Syaikul Islam, 7, and Summayah, 5.
