#Showbiz: Celepets honours single moms at charity event

LOCAL celebrities Dynas Mokhtar, Aishah Sinclair, Atilia Haron, Daphne Iking, Sazzy Falak, Serena C and Yasmin Hani of Celepets recently celebrated 15 years of community service by hosting the Celepets Care Raya 2024 event in Shah Alam, Selangor.

In partnership with the Hardcore Poor Housing Programme community, the charity event honoured single mothers on the occasion of Mothers Day and Syawal.

Celepets members distributed 'duit raya' to single mothers and their children, and they also participated in various games and a lucky draw.

The initiative received sponsorship from various startups, and small and medium enterprises for a collaboration that would positively impact the community.

Speaking on behalf of Celepets, Dynas said: "In every smile we see and every embrace we share, Celepets Care embodies our unwavering commitment to single mothers and their families who inspire us daily with their resilience.

"As we celebrate our 15-year milestone, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to stand alongside close to 30 remarkable families, offering not just assistance but solidarity and hope.

"Our dedication to their well-being remains steadfast, and as we look to the future, we envision a community where every single mother is empowered to thrive.

"We would also like to thank all our sponsors for joining us in our mission to support single mothers and their families.

"Their generous contribution will make a significant difference in the lives of those in need."

Celepets members also topped up RM2,000 each as their contribution to the cause.

Celepets Care invites individuals and organisations to join their mission to create a brighter future for all Malaysians.

Donations are welcome, with all proceeds to be transferred to Kindness Malaysia for distribution among single mothers and their families.
