KUALA LUMPUR: Actor and host, Dynas Mokhtar, 41, is grateful to have recovered most of the RM60,000 that was lost from her personal savings account last January.
Dynas said she was still trying to recover the remaining two to three per cent of her lost money from the bank.
"I am very grateful but this case has not been fully resolved since I have yet to receive the full amount of the missing money," she said in a recent Harian Metro report.
Dynas said the investigation found that someone had used her debit card to go on a shopping spree in various countries.
"My debit card was used with a phone belonging to the party involved for shopping because there were foreign currency transactions from various countries such as Saudi Arabia, Japan, the United States, South Korea, China, and Brazil.
"There were transactions to purchase an iPhone, services at a hair salon, and to buy food online. Because of that, the bank could trace back the loss of money from my savings account," she said.
Earlier, Dynas was shocked to discover that almost all the savings in her personal savings account had disappeared in January.
She found out when she wanted to pay her personal assistant's salary and was surprised to find that there were several transactions involving various foreign currencies and almost all the money in her bank account was gone.
