KUALA LUMPUR: Popular singer Marsha Milan Londoh has received praise from netizens for her cover version of Islands In The Stream with Canadian duo Music Travel Love.
Music Travel Love comprises twin brothers Bob and Clint Moffat, 40, who were members of the 1990s pop-country band The Moffats.
Marsha, 39, said in an Instagram post recently that Music Travel Love was in Kuala Lumpur on April 20 for a concert and she was their special guest.
Several weeks before the show, Bob and Clint invited Marsha to record the 1980s love duet made popular by Dolly Parton and the late Kenny Rogers with them.
They filmed the music video at Pulau Kalampunian Besar in Kuala Penyu, Sabah.
Marsha said: "I am a big fan of The Moffats, and it is great that they are back as Music Travel Love.
"Shooting the music video with them in my home state was truly enjoyable."
Music Travel Love posted a snippet of the video on its Instagram account with the message, "You make Dolly Parton proud Marsha."
The music video on YouTube has received over 1.8 million views.
Islands In The Stream was first recorded by Rogers and Parton in 1983.
Written by the Bee Gees, the country song reached Number One in Billboard Hot 100.
Other singers who have covered the song include Barry Manilow and Reba McEntire, Ronan Keating and The McClymonts, Jennifer Love Hewitt and the Bee Gees.
