KUALA LUMPUR: The late actor Christopher Reeve has been synonymous with the role of the Man of Steel since he first flew onscreen in the 1978 classic, 'Superman: The Movie'.
In the upcoming James Gunn-directed revival movie, 'Superman', his son Will Reeve will have a cameo appearance.
Twenty years after Christopher's passing, his 32-year-old son will appear as a TV reporter in the upcoming DC Studios superhero film, according to Cleveland.com.
Like life imitating art, Will is a real-life journalist and ABC News correspondent.
Christopher portrayed the Kryptonian who concealed his superheroic identity by utilising an alter-ego, Clark Kent, a mild-mannered Daily Planet journalist.
The site featured photos of behind-the-scenes action on location in Cleveland, Ohio, that included Will's appearance on set during a major scene.
There were some images of Will, who is also an actor and producer, dressed up in a slick suit as Clark Kent while giving Gunn a hug as others on location were seen clapping.
The pictures appeared to have been taken after filming for the scene had wrapped and were shared on social media.
Christopher was paralysed from the neck down after an equestrian accident in 1995 and had been wheelchair-bound and depended on ventilator for the rest of his life before he passed on in 2004 from heart failure at age 52.
In the new film set to open in cinemas on July 11 next year, American actor David Corenswet, 30, stars as Superman.
The film is written and directed by Gunn.
