#SHOWBIZ: M Jamil now living with fourth wife in Puchong, says son

KUALA LUMPUR: The son of veteran director and actor, M Jamil, 59, has revealed that he is now living in Puchong with his fourth wife.

Oppa actor Sadiq Jamil, 26, said that his father married for the fourth time two years after the death of his actress mother Siti Rohani Wahid of Gila-Gila Remaja fame a decade ago.

In an interview with Berita Harian yesterday, Sadiq said: "My late mother was my father's third wife. They were blessed with seven children including myself, the fifth child."

He added that Jamil whose real name is Mohamad Jamil Zulkifli has 11 children, and all of them keep in touch with each other.

"I get along with my stepmothers and I am happy to see my father in good spirits.

"I have never met his first wife, but I am close to his second wife and address her as Auntie Ani."

Sadiq and his siblings visit Jamil and his fourth wife weekly.

He had a stroke six years ago and has been unable to work ever since.

Jamil is the son of the legendary actress Datuk Sarimah Ahmad and famously played her son in the 1981 tear jerker movie Dia Ibuku.

Dia Ibuku won Best Film at the Second Malaysian Film Festival that year and also earned Sarimah the Best Actress and Jamil the Most Promising Actor awards.

In the 2000s, Jamil made a series of horror movies called the Momok series which starred some of his children as well as veteran movie stars Ruminah Sidek or Mak Mah and the late Datuk Aziz Sattar.

Sadiq's elder sister She or Siti Nursyahirah Nabilah Jamil once co-hosted Astro entertainment programme HLive.
